NETA Talks: Smoking and Lung Cancer

Upcoming NETA Talks will host Emrullah Yilmaz, M.D., Albert Einstein College of Medicine, on Monday March 31, 2014 at 6pm. Refreshments will be served, RSVP is required.

NETA Talks aims to bring together scientists in New York Metropolitan Area to provide them a platform for sharing their expertise and ideas, for networking as well as for seeking collaboration opportunities.

Theme: “Smoking and Lung Cancer”

Speaker: Emrullah Yilmaz MD, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death and also second most common cancer in both men and women. Tobacco smoking is the most common cause of lung cancer. In this talk, we will discuss the historical perspective of tobacco smoking and its implications to current practice in lung cancer.
