The Education Department at Brown University invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Education, beginning July 1, 2013.
This faculty member will join a core group of social scientists, whose work is primarily in the realm of education policy, particularly around issues in urban education.
The successful candidate will hold an earned doctorate in political science, sociology, economics, public policy, education or a related field in education. Preference will be given to candidates who apply quantitative research methods in analyzing education policy issues. Candidates must show promise of both active research profiles and the ability to teach and advise undergraduate and/or graduate students. This position includes teaching a core course on statistical methods in the graduate Urban Education Policy Program.
